My name is Vic Kirk, I’m retired and enjoying the mad rush of daily life that is supposed to be a relaxing time (don’t know where that idea came from!). I have always enjoyed working with glass, from stained glass panels to terrariums. More recently though I have discovered the joys of lampwork bead making. Glass has always interested me and now I have more time on my hands I have found myself drawn to my workshop even when other more pressing jobs should come first. I love lampwork bead making because of the chemical reactions that happen when using different types of glass under different conditions. That is why many beads can be made from the same mix of glasses but come out looking totally different. The knack is getting them all to match when needed, but the fun is seeing all the shapes, sizes and colours. This site is dedicated to my creations and I hope you enjoy them.
My wife April (Fuchsia Cottage Crafts) and Jay (Jays Jewels) my daughter, are both avid seed bead weavers and have made some of my beads into stunning pieces of jewellery out of those pesky little seed beads so I’m kept quite busy with in-house orders already so to speak 😀
If there is anything on this site that takes your fancy or anything you may require in a different colourway please do just contact me so that we can chat about what you want, because the colourways are endless and there isn’t a website big enough to get them all on.
